Description
A solid wedge shaped fragment of metal. Provenance recorded at time of donation states that it was from the Battle of Pukehinahina Gate Pa, 1864. The fragment has what looks like an early handwritten label, which is now discoloured. It reads ' - shell piece - Gate Pa Zealand'.
