Description
A shawl made from silk. The shawl has 150mm wide bands of plain cream, plain maroon and patterned bands in red, green, blue, maroon and cream design. There is a knotted fringe with a depth of 100mm at one end. There is a cut raw edge at the other end.

This shawl is recorded as having being brought to New Zealand by Mrs Alexander Muir (nee Blunt). She arrived in Auckland in 1865.
