Description
A sampler of green, fawn and blue silk thread on wool tabby background. Made by Mary Fitch 1837 and contains the following rhyme: "Jesus permit thy gracious name to stand as the first effort of my youthful hand and as my fingers oe'r the canvas move. Engage my tender heart to seek thy love".
