Description
A gold gilt evening purse with ornate gold gilt frame, clasp and chain handle. The outer material is a coarse brown cotton fabric covered with multi-sized gold glitter pasted onto fabric. The seams are sewn with a large stitch and fabric is hand stitched to the frame with gold coloured thread. The lining is gold coloured taffeta. The frame has a slight curved rise in the centre and the front is studded with crystals which reflect light producing a myriad of colours. Clasps on the frame are gold coloured metal perforated with holes. The back section of the frame is not as deep as the front and has no stones. The top of the frame is etched with a circular repetitive pattern. The gold chain handle is attached to the frame on diagonally opposing ends. The chain is 150mm in length.
