Description
A black straw hat with black velvet ribbon and blue flowers and green leaves as trim. The straw strips are machine-stitched from centre crown in a spiral formation making both a shallow crown and brim. The brim is edged with narrow black braid and is slightly bent. There is a hat pin in metal with a "pearl" head. This hat was purchased in Auckland and worn to a funeral in 1953.
