Object detail

Description
A cap sleeved dress made from a stippled light nylon fabric. The dress has a scooped, sweetheart neckline with ruched detail. The dress has a dropped waist, circular skirt with belt of aqua-coloured devore velvet ribbon which ends in a flat bow. There is a concealed side zip opening. The pattern is of a single golden orange tulip with grey leaves/stalk, interspersed with gypsophila-like sprays in grey, aqua and black. The background is pale grey.Label attached to zip reads An Exton Garment.

This dress is thought to be new old stock which came from Hartley's Drapery, a well known store which operated on The Strand, Tauranga.
