Description
A Press Graflex curtain aperture single lens reflex folding camera. The camera has a wood and leather body witha leather handle on top which, when lifted, pulls up the fur-trimmed viewing hood. A brass knob rotates to extend the lens; lens is shielded when closed by a removeable wooden cover. A top cover flips back to reveal a metal plate with distance data, while at the rear a shield covers a glass plate which folds out on a metal spring. The Press Graflex was marketed to newspaper photographers but also became popular with with fine art photographers.
