A cotton dress made from fabric which has a wheat coloured background with grey, black, and yellow grid like stripes. The dress has a wide cape like double collar of black and the dress fabric.The collar forms a cap sleeve.The dress has a lightly gathered slim skirt and a self covered belt with a black buckle.
This dress is thought to be new old stock which came from Hartley's Drapery, a well known store which operated on The Strand, Tauranga.
