Description
A dark green buckram cover with gold stamped cross and initials I.H.S center front and 'At Mercey's Shrine' top of spine. Inside cover paper is green and white floral pattern. A black and white photograph of a nun has been glued in, top proper right corner. Title of printed poem, glued in center, reads 'Friends that Count'. Handwritten in black ink on opposite page 'May your Patron Saint interceede for you, and may this day be a landmark on your way to salvation'. Handwritten on following pages are shorthand symbols, '183 Mt Smart Rd', 'March 21, 15 yrs, Nov __9 52, see that not held on 2nd Friday of _____' 'Sister Mary Francis'. Title page reads 'At Mercy's Shrine. A new manual of Catholic Devotions from approved sources. By a sister of mercy to which are added the Epistles and Gospels for all Sundays and Festivals throughout the year'. In pencil at back, p. 589 'Tiller, 27 Atkin St, Wellington'. Inside back cover, 'Mary Ina'.
