Description
A cabinet card studio portrait of a Naval Officer. The cream cardboard is stamped at bottom "C. Hemus, Auckland, By Appointment to the Governor". The man is seated and leaning on a desk with sword at front. Printed on back "F. G. Jacobs, 1896".
Believed to be Captain F. G. Jacobs R.N. In 1901 Captain Frederick George Jacobs married Miss Annie Brigham eldest daughter of Mr J. M. Brigham who was secretary and treasurer of the Auckland Harbour Board.
