Sepia cartes-de-visite portrait showing a seated woman wearing white hat with ostrich feather trim, drop earrings, light coloured dress of patterned fabric, with wide belt, wearing gloves and holding a flower. Printed on card "J. Robson Alnwick". Printed on reverse "Portrait Painter and Photographer, J. Robson Alnwick. Copies of this picture can always be had. Portraits enlarged to any size and finished in oil or crayon".
