Description
A mounted print of Faulkner's Store, at Faulkner's Corner, Eleventh Avenue, Tauranga. One story masonry building, built 1921 and demolished 1984. Sign written "Groceries Drapery & Hardware" on Cameron Road fascia and "A.L. Faulkner" across corner and "Provisions" on Eleventh Avenue side. Two men and one woman standing outside shop, car parked in front, and man and horse standing on left of image. Store on SW corner of intersection. Road signs to Rotorua and Katikati. Power poles supporting equipment on corner. Handwritten on reverse "Faulkner's Store, Faulkner's Corner demolished 1 Feb 1984". People outside could be Arthur Faulkner and Mrs Faulkner and Horri Duff. Duff worked in the shop and made deliveries. One day a week he delivered to Otumoetai.

Alf Rendell has identified this as his father used the number '90' as part of his postcard collection. Alf Rendell as a boy used to ride along on these trips and help with the deliveries.
