An unmounted print showing Supt. Stewart being congratulated by an unidentified man, not in uniform. It is likely that the man is Lionel Wilkinson who was the Mayor of Tauranga from 1935 until 1950 and 1952 to 1956. Handwritten on reverse "Supt. Stewart award presentation, 26 Feb 1949, Carter Photo Depot, Triangle Tauranga ph 96. Copies of this photo 16 Quote no. S353-1. Donated by Mrs M. Turner."
