Printed mount on card, cut from album page, showing oval image of a auxiliary schooner sailing with coastline in the background. Written in white on mount "Isabella de Fraine". Handwritten on reverse "Isabella de Fraine, Tauranga Harbour".

"The`Isabella de Fraine' was an auxiliary schooner of 110 tons, built at Camden Haven, NSW, in 1902. She was owned by Messrs A G Frankham Ltd of Auckland, and was under the command of Captain A Berridge. When entering the Hokianga Harbour on Saturday 14 July 1928, she capsized after crossing the bar, and became a total wreck. The crew of eight were all drowned. (Information from OTS record)."
