Description
Unmounted vernacular kodak colour print showing a view of a square villa with central front door, window on each side of front, and verandah across. Plain verandah posts and no ballustrades. Wooden steps up to verandah from lawn. Lawn and trees in left foreground. Associated note from Vic Hunton reads " The house at 38 Harvey St. now owned by Mr Wood, land agent; original owners Mr & Mrs Piercy who farmed the area to the beach where the convent [St Mary's School] is now. Mrs May Piercy lived in house until about 1969 and died c1974 in her 80s. Her daughter Mrs Simmonds, age 77 (in 1979), lived at 91 Grace Rd and said in 1979 that the house was about 65 years old [1914]. Alterations made are only external not internal. Adamson was the builder".
