Description
An unmounted vernacular print showing a view of an armstong gun within the Monmouth Redoubt, Tauranga. The back of a man sitting on edge of the Redoubt is visible to the right of the gun. Given the poor state of the gun carriage it is likely this photoraph was taken during the 1910s. In March 1914 the 'Bay of Plenty Times' reported that the carriages were rotten and needed replacement.
