Description
An unmounted large format print showing a white bearded person sitting in the driver's seat of a car. Two other passengers in coats, fur stoles, and elaborate hats. Soft top of car folded back, spare wheel on running board. Crank handle in front, brass headlights. Handwritten on reverse "Herman and Wilhelmina Mehrtens Oropi - Gate Pa 1910-1911 Our first car a change from horse and gig". J. Mehrtens ran a local bus service from 1921-1926.
