Description
A postcard print showing a dark haired woman in19th century nurses white uniform sitting in front of a backdrop that has a picture of a carved cabinet with ornaments. Handwritten on reverse "Aunt Bessie Smedley uncle Arch's wife. She nursed Logan Campbell before he died (the father of Auckland). She trained in London." Ernest Smedley arrived in Tauranga in 1908. Details from Thelma Smith daughter of Ernest & Jeanie Smedley.
