Description
An unmounted postcard format print showing a view of the official opening of First World War Memorial gates, Tauranga Domain, on 11 December 1921. Sir William Herries MP opened the gates; dedication by Rev E.A. Mc Curcheon; address by Col. G.A. Ward chairman of Tauranga Domain Board. Crowd of men and women standing in Cameron Road. Row of cars parked on opposite side. Bellevue Hotel visible further down the road. Cameron Road very narrow at this point with grass on each side.
