Description
A double-mounted print on card showing Lord Jellicoe, Governor General of New Zealand (1920-1924), on a visit to Tauranga. Image mounted on card with dark brown borders. Jellicoe is in naval uniform shaking hands with a school boy. Other officers standing near appear to be adjacent to a school building. On reverse "Jellicoe at Tauranga". The Bay of Plenty Times reported that Lord Jellicoe was in Tauranga on the 21 and 22 April 1921. Jellicoe visited the Tauranga District High School on 22 April 1921.
