Description
An unmounted print showing a weatherboard school building with three gable frontage. Corrugated iron roof. Six paned sash windows. Children are sitting in front of the fence. Three women on left in school grounds and two men standing in doorways. Handwritten on reverse in pencil "Tauranga School about 1906 other buildings came later." In 1907 Tauranga School became known as the Tauranga District High School and then Tauranga Primary School in 1945.
