Description
A large format mounted albumen print showing a view of The Strand, Tauranga, taken from Monmouth Redoubt. Joseph Brain's shipyard and the Maori hostel are visible as is an unformed street at north end of The Strand. Several buildings at Harrington Street corner, both wharves, with small ship at Victoria Wharf. Several figures by dinghies on beach, horse and cart on heap of sand or shell. Printed on mount "The National Photographic Company A A Rayan Manager".
