Description
An unmounted large format print showing a cottonwood tree, known as the Aspen Tree, standing on a slope below the old Government Building (Post Office) on the corner of Willow Street and McLean Street, Tauranga. A man is standing in rough ground in the foreground. Another Willow Street house visible. On reverse "Old tree, summer 1911-1912. Must be well over 100 years old. Some say it was planted by first settler".
