Description
A large format double-mounted print showing a team standing in front of a wooden building with signage above the door which reads 'Bro...Bros Auctioneers'. The building has central double doors and window on each side with curved top. Printed below photograph: Back row, L to R; T.N. Diprose (Snr), C. Hall, W. Ryan, F. Washer, F. Henwood, R. Williams, J. Williams, W. Martin, I. Vercoe. Sitting; F. Collins, J. McEwen, J. McCauler, E. Smith, F. Kerr, J. Kerry, S. McEwen. In Front: H. Brady, A. Ryburn, G. Henry. Handwritten on reverse "Te Puke Rugby Football Team 1905". The sign is likely to read 'Brown Bros. Auctioneers' who advertised in the 'Bay of Plenty Times' as 'Cattle Salesman and Land and General Agents'. They appear to have been in business from 1902 until 1907.
