Description
A brass British Legion of Frontiersmen tunic button. In the centre are two overlapped circles, resembling a shields, which feature a union jack design. Around the edge following the circumference of the button is the word "Frontiersmen" and laurel leaves.

Provenance recorded at the time of donation states that this button was owned by John Greenwood Tennent 7/522. Tennant served with the NZEF from 25 August 1914 until 19 September 1917 at which time he was discharged to take up a commission with the RFC.
