Description
Black and white image of weatherboard church with corrugated iron roof and spire with cross. Door at front under small gable and concrete steps. Three lancet windows on side wall. Additional room attached near back of church. Statue of St Joseph on conrete plinth near building on lawn. Traditional New Zealand style favoured by various denominations. This is a Roman Catholic church.
Written on reverse 'St Joseph's Church, Te Puna. 1976. Established Jan. 1 1900. Building began 1896. Photograph taken and donated by R.D Hyde.'
