Description
Dark navy blue woollen beret with khaki linen lining and leather binding around edge. A drawstring threaded underneath the binding and ties in a knot at the back. Stamp inside is difficult to read but the date 1943 is visible. A label hand stitched inside includes the former owners name and regimental number. The beret belonged to a soldier who reached the rank of Major and was a Company Commander of the Hauraki Regiment.
