Description
Postcard showing a view of Hartley's on the corner of Wharf Street and The Strand, Tauranga. A group of ten people are gathered outside the store. Writing on the store front reads "Hartley The Leading Draper. Hartley for Mercery, Millinery Costumes and General Outfitter." Handwriting on reverse reads "Hartley's store Tauranga cnr Strand and Wharf Street. Mr Hartley near pole." The back of the postcard has also been used for a 'to do list', "2 bottles raspberry, telegram, see Mr Barnett, Odds for 3 girls, train ticket, Ask re - connes? ing with Rotorua Exp."
