A cabinet card portrait of seated woman and child. Woman has lace cap, glasses, in black dress, lace collar and cuffs, brooch at throat with cords and tassels below. The child is wearing a black sleeveless dress with elaborate lace collar. Woman has gigot sleeves [leg-of-mutton]. Printed 'F.W. Mason, The Elite Studio, Napier'. The sleeves indicate early 1890s.
