Description
Postcard showing a group of men sitting on a coach in front of a building. Handwriting on reverse reads "Coach leaving Star Hotel for Gammins Mill, Omananwa. Front left - Bert Carter. Front right - Curly Saunders. Standing Front - Alf Brown Propr. Star. Second from right seated - Hugh Harnett". More research is required as this description may be incorrect. A similar photograph held by the Tauranga City Libraries is of a group of men leaving for camp during the First World War. The man standing at the front of the coach appears to be Charles Macmillan who was Mayor of Tauranga 1915-1917.
