Description
An unmounted print showing the town of St Bathans beyond flooded gold mine, the Kildare Gold Claim. Description on reverse reads "Our house in the distance with the dark roof. School is just to the left. Houses and hotel and general store further still on the left hidden by trees. The lake from top to the water is over 50ft and the lake itself about another 150ft. Was the old Kildare Gold Claim. There is still millions worth of gold but too dangerous to operate." Dated Feb 1938.
