Description
A lithographic print showing a man with a shovel and barrow and another with horse and cart. They appear to be working on the formation of Willow Street, Tauranga. It has also been suggested that they are gardening. The ‘Aspen’ tree can be seen behind the cart. While the exact date of this image is unknown, The Star Hotel on the corner of Spring Street and Devonport Road is visible in the distance. The hotel opened in 1881.
