Description
A framed colourised photographic print showing a lake surrounded by hills. In the foreground is a horse and cart full of passengers riding along a dirt road and a person walking in a paddock towards the cart. The caption printed in gold along the bottom of the image reads "11624. Rotorua. The Blue Lake. (Tikitapu). The wood and plaster frame is painted gold and brown and decorated with scroll patterns, with a brown and white cardboard mat. On the reverse is a card backing and hanging wire, as well a note which reads "Blue Lake not many years after the eruption. Late Mrs John Carruth Te Puke."
