Description
Unmounted black and white print, postcard format on Velox paper. Silver gelatin print. A portrait of a man with horn dressed in bandsman uniform. Weatherboard wall and wooden trellis in background. Handwritten in pencil on reverse, "Tommy Milne, early 1930s, Tauranga."

Tom Milne was a well known local identity and secretary of the Tauranga Municipal Town Band for many years. The Milne family lived at 61 Cameron Road, located between Spring Street and Elizabeth Street. The property later became part of the new Tauranga Fire Station on Cameron Road.
