Description
An unmounted black and white print showing a group of seven men and one woman standing in front of wooden building with "Post & Telegraph" sign (boy visible through open window). Handwritten in pencil on reverse, "Waitekauri Post Office (erected August 1897). Contained public vestibule with lobby, 42 private boxes, P.M's Room operting and Postal Room and P.M.'s residence. Moved to Paeroa Ministry of Works (1916 after being vacant some years). This is probably a copy of an earlier print.
