Black woollen blazer. Black sateen lining. Pocket monogram "Watersider, Mount Maunganui, Tauranga". Shield depicting capstan with rope, Mauao and a swordfish.
The Port of Tauranga was officially established by the Governor of New Zealand in 1873. The modern port was developed in the 1950s and much of this growth was due to the log export trade.
