Description
A colour slide showing a view of a truck loaded with a building for removal. The building is the Christian Science Society and Reading Room located on Cameron Road. The process is being watched by police officers from the opposite side of the street. Recorded by photographer as ‘Removing Christian Science Church.’
The Tauranga Heritage Collection has more than 2000 photographic slides taken by Robert Gale. Robert and his family moved to Tauranga in the early 1960s and he taught at Merivale School until retirement. Robert was a member of the Tauranga Photographic Society for many years.
