Description
A black and white slide showing a man on scaffolding, working on frame of a new building. The wooden building behind is likely to be the Methodist Church on the corner of First Avenue and Devonport Road. Recorded by photographer as ‘Welder – construction work – end 2nd Avenue.’
The Tauranga Heritage Collection has more than 2000 photographic slides taken by Robert Gale. Robert and his family moved to Tauranga in the early 1960s and he taught at Merivale School until retirement. Robert was a member of the Tauranga Photographic Society for many years.
