Description
A colour slide showing a large tent. Trailers and people outside the tent. Identified as the Bullen’s Circus at Tauranga Domain. Recorded by the photographer as ‘Circus tent’. "Tauranga's young-in-heart were given a rare treat in December when Bullen brothers' circus paid a two-day visit to the Domain. The programme of fast-moving acts presented the cream of the world's big-top performers and there was certainly something for everyone from the thrilling wire rope and trapeze acts to the grace of perfectly trained horses and the comedy of the clowns.' Tauranga Photo News, 2 February 1963.

The Tauranga Heritage Collection has more than 2000 photographic slides taken by Robert Gale.
