Description
A colour slide showing a man feeding a dolphin that has appeared from the water. There is a monkey in costume sitting on a chair beside the pool. A small crowd is watching. One of the monkeys was called Charlie Brown. The location is identified as Moturiki Island and the pool is part of Marineland. Recorded by the photographer as ‘Feeding Dolphin, Marineland’. "Visitors to Mount Maunganui will soon find an interesting new attraction to claim their attention. Some months ago we reported the start of work on the new Seaquarium. Today work is rapidly nearing completion and it is hoped that the project will be finished in good time for the holidays." Bay of Plenty Photo News, 15 October 1966
