Description
A colour slide showing a view of a road which goes past a camping ground. The camping ground is identified as being on Jordan Field, Memorial Park. Recorded by the photographer as ‘Devonport Road and Motor Camp’. "Devonport Road, Tauranga, where it drops downhill to Memorial Park, used to be winding, narrow and dangerous for traffic. The long-awaited improvement scheme is now almost complete." Tauranga Photo News, 24 July 1965

Robert and his family moved to Tauranga in the early 1960s and he taught at Merivale School until retirement. Robert was a member of the Tauranga Photographic Society for many years.
