Description
A colour slide showing a harbour scene with boats on the water. Identified as Tauranga harbour. Recorded by the photographer as 'Golden Lotus'. The 'Golden Lotus' was a Chinese Junk that came to New Zealand in 1962 and travelled around the country. "Brian Clifford's "Golden Lotus" which he and four friends recently sailed to New Zealand from Hong Kong heads into Tauranga harbour." Tauranga Photo News, 17 November 1962

Robert and his family moved to Tauranga in the early 1960s and he taught at Merivale School until retirement. Robert was a member of the Tauranga Photographic Society for many years.
