Description
A colour slide showing a bus that has got stuck in the mud being pushed by several men. One man appears to be putting branches under a bus wheel. Signage on the bus reads 'Star Tours, Cape Reinga and Ninety Mile Beach'. Recorded by the photographer as 'Helping to free bus from mud on ascent after leaving Te Paki stream'.
The Tauranga Heritage Collection has more than 2000 photographic slides taken by Robert Gale. Robert and his family moved to Tauranga in the early 1960s and he taught at Merivale School until retirement. Robert was a member of the Tauranga Photographic Society for many years.
