Description
A colour slide showing a man looking at a car engine. Location is identified as Wharepai Domain, Tauranga. Recorded by the photographer as 'Vintage Car rally, under the bonnet, Stanley Steam Car'. "Proud owners of vintage cars from Auckland and around the Bay drove their gleaming vehicles to the Wharepai Domain for a recent rally. A number of cars turned up which have not been seen here previously and this added considerably to the enjoyment of the bystanders." Bay of Plenty Photo News, 4 March 1967

Robert and his family moved to Tauranga in the early 1960s and he taught at Merivale School until retirement. Robert was a member of the Tauranga Photographic Society for many years.
