Description
A colour slide showing motorcycles racing on a sealed road, identified as Bureta Road, Tauranga. A small crowd of people are watching on a footpath behind. Recorded by the photographer as 'M'bikes cornering, motor bikes, Bureta Road'. "This year's Bay of Plenty Grand Prix organised by the Tauranga Motor Cycle Club was run over a triangular course bordering Ngatai Road, Otumoetai, and was watched by a crowd of two-and-a-half thousand. The feature race was won y Tauranga rider Max Cleverly (Manx Norton) and both junior and senior Grand Prix events by Hugh Anderson." Tauranga Photo News, 5 February 1966
