Description
A colour slide of a float in the Tauranga Orange Festival parade respresenting Mount Manganui. A model rocket stands on the truck and has a young woman seated in it. Along the side of the float is a sign stating Mount Maunganui rockets ahead beside a drawing of buildings and banners labelled exports - imports - industry - tourism. On the tray deck stands a sign 'Splash down in the Mount Hot Pool.' The towing vehicle has a green canvas covering the rear and an orange balloon perched on top. Tauranga Photo News identifies the person on board the rocket as Jan Richdale.
