Description
A colour slide of a float designed as an elephant, proceeding along Cameron Road. Four people are riding on top of the elephant in a box platform. One is wearing a turban. The float is part of the Tauranga Orange Festival Parade. The Tauranga Photo News in September 1966 features a photograph of the float with the following caption 'Orange Festival Queen, June Northcroft, and her princesses ride on the City Council float at the head of the parade'.
