Description
A stereograph of a woman looking at the camera and holding a baby and with a child sitting in a chair. The woman has a centre part in her hair and her hair pulled smoothly back. She is wearing a dress with a crinoline. She has a lace collar over a short shawl and her sleeves have three fringed flounces. Her very full skirt has a small check pattern in the fabric and has bands of other colours and perhaps braid. The child in the chair has short fair hair and is wearing a dark garment which is difficult to see. If he is a boy under three years of age it may well be a dress. White socks and buttoned shoes complete the outfit. The baby is a few months old and dressed in an elaborate lace dress with buttoned shoes. Both woman and child are sitting in wooden chairs with woven cane backs.
