A sepia photographic print showing the opening of the Katikati Library, 1914.
A small weatherboard building with iron roof and brick chimney. Central door and double hung sash windows. “Public Library and Reading Room” sign on gable end. Open car with thick spokes on wheels and rubber tyres. The donor identified the man driving the car as Maurice Crimmins; second left man standing is W. J. Gray. Mary, Grace, Inez and Jessie.
