Description
A colour photographic print showing four people standing in front of a house. This photograph was taken on the occasion of a bus tour during the Katikati school jubilee. This house was built for one of Vesey Stewart’s first settlers. It is an L shaped house and the rooms on the verandah on the left wing were single bedrooms for the farming cadets that G.V. Stewart was anxious to bring out from England and Ireland. This house is registered with Heritage NZ in the Category II. The women standing in front of the verandah are Beth Rapley, Thea Baigent, Rosalie Smith, Ellen McCormack.
